            Bug ID: 164497
Summary: Confusing UX for light/dark settings - need to be all
                    in one place
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 25.2.0.0 alpha0+
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
I downloaded LibreOffice_25.2.0.1_Win_x86-64 only to find myself somehow in
dark mode. Didn't like.

Went to Tools/Options/View and specifically selected an icon theme that did not
have (Dark) after the name, thinking that's all it would take to get off dark
mode.

Nada. It wasn't until I went to Copilot and asked where the setting was that I
learned system/light/dark was under Appearance.

Why?
Why?

Don't spread such inter-related options across multiple dialog UX's.
One-stop shopping for all light/dark options.

Steps to Reproduce:
See description above.

Actual Results:
Result was thinking the program was busted. Fix the UX.

Expected Results:
When I select a non-dark theme, the UX switches to a light theme. Completely
useless to have light icon theme on a dark background, but LO lets users do
that. You can't even discern the icons because they've blended with the
background.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No
