cambria font on Mac OS X
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Mac OS X (All)

pdf export of text examples made with LibreOffice and TextEdit on Mac OS X and
the Cambria font
Problem description: Letters with diacritic marks like for instance ä, ö, ü, é,
â, å are displayed incorrectly with the Cambria Regular font in all LibreOffice
applications on Mac OS X (tested with 10.8.4). This does not appear in TextEdit
application on Mac OS X nor in LibreOffice on Windows XP. The Cambria Math font
or the bold/italic font weights of Cambria font are not affected. The same
incorrect effects appear on pdf exports and on prints.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Install Cambria Regular font Version 6.80 packed in a TrueType Collection
together with Cambria Math on Mac OS X
2. Write letters with diacritic marks like for instance ä, ö, ü, é, â, å with
the installed Cambria Regular font (not Cambria Math) in LibreOffice
Current behavior: The diacritic marks in Cambria Regular font are shifted right
(see attachment)
Expected behavior: The letters with diacritic marks shall appear with Cambria
Regular font like in TextEdit or like in LibreOffice on Windows XP
Operating System: Mac OS X
Version: 4.0.4.2 release
