--- Comment #18 from Mike Kaganski <[email protected]> --- (In reply to Eyal Rozenberg from comment #15) > This bug asks for an expansion of the heuristic to also depend on other > things, > as I mentioned in comment 8, e.g.: > > * The set of enabled keyboard layouts We need a bug report, like "using an OS A, having locale B, with DM C, install layouts D and E, start LO with clear profile; in this case LO should have CTL support auto-enabled". Bug 47969 seems resolved/fixed; of course, it may well still need fixing in specific situations. > * The country the computer is currently in We need a bug report, like "using an OS A, having locale B (with country C), start LO with clear profile; in this case LO should have CTL support auto-enabled". > * Finer choices of aspects of the locale/regional settings We need a bug report, like "add controls A, B, C to the options, to allow X, Y, and Z". > * Whether or not a localization pack or help pack is installed for an > RTL-CTL or CJK language Absolutely no. The *installed* state is not relevant. It may be e.g. installed on a corporate profile, for different users, who use their own settings. *If* there is a way to disable "support" for CTL/Asian (which I dislike, but this is the status quo), then the installed state of the mentioned components doesn't mean "enable that support". > and never mind my specific situation with Hindi. This must be an own bug. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
