Description:
Hello
When opening a specific DOCX file in LibreOffice Writer, the CPU usage spikes
to 80-100%, and the soffice.bin process freezes. The process has to be
terminated using kill.
The issue also occurs when converting a DOCX file to PDF via the command line.
The problem reproduces on the following operating systems:
• Astra Linux 1.7.6 SE (with LibreOffice version 7.6.7.2)
• Windows 10 Pro (with LibreOffice versions 7.6.7.2 + LibreOffice 24.8.4)
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the attached file file9.docx.
2. Check the CPU usage and verify that the process is frozen.
Or execute the command:
1. /usr/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice.bin --headless --convert-to pdf
--outdir "SaveLocation" "OpenLocation"
2. Check the CPU usage and verify that the process is frozen.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached file file9.docx.
2. Check the CPU usage and verify that the process is frozen.
Or execute the command:
1. /usr/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice.bin --headless --convert-to pdf
--outdir "SaveLocation" "OpenLocation"
2. Check the CPU usage and verify that the process is frozen.
Actual Results:
The soffice.bin process has frozen.
CPU usage is 80-100%.
Expected Results:
1. The process should not consume 80-100% CPU
