Bug ID: 165010
Summary: Label limits/boundaries no longer shown in Writer
after upgrade
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 24.8.1.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
LibreOffice labels have always shown their "limits" with thin, non-printable,
grey lines. This is no longer the case after upgrading, now only white
background is shown. Searching for a solution I see others had the same issue
but the only workaround I found so far is to check/enable View -> Show
Formatting Marks, but this shows not only the borders but Formatting Marks I do
not wish to see. Please make it again possible to see label boundaries like
always. Currently using Writer 24.8.1.2 on GNU/Linux, downgrading to Writer
24.2.1.2 also fixes the issue and the limits/boundaries are shown, but if I
upgrade to 24.8.1.2 limits/boundaries are gone again. Thank you
Steps to Reproduce:
1. File -> New -> Labels
2. Choose any brand and model, click on "New Document"
3. Only a white background / blank page is shown, no "labels" are seen, no grey
boundaries at all
Actual Results:
No Label limits/boundaries are shown
Expected Results:
Label limits/boundaries are shown with a thin grey line (not printed, just a
visual aid)
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
Additional Info:
Tested with a new user and it still happens
