Neither with one of the Appearance themes enabled, nor with default Automatic theme can I change the 'Application background' customization over to Image with a selection from the listbox of Gallery images and actually have it assert on the restart. It keeps dropping back to the fixed color 'Application background' of the appearance theme. Even though the 'Image' radio button and selection from the list box of Gallery images remains set. The 'Tiled' or 'Stretched' radio button makes no difference. Can't get a gallery graphic to display as Application background.
