Templates for tables in Writer are available from sidebar panel "Styles" > "Table styles" or from menu "Table" > "Autoformat Styles" or from toolbar "Table" > "Autoformat Styles". Are the problems in these parts? Or do you talk about document templates for spreadsheets?
