            Bug ID: 165182
Summary: Password protected file generated by 24.8 cannot be
opened by LibreOffice version under 7.6
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 24.8.4.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
I used LibreOffice 24.8, (I only tested with Writer and Calc), save a file with
password. When I opened this password protected file using LibreOffice 7.6 or
under version it would say the file is corrupted. Opening it with LibreOffice
24.2 was successful.

Using LibreOffice 24.2 to generate the password-protected file did not have
this problem, i.e., it could be opened by 7.6 or under.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a new file in Writer or Calc in LibreOffice 24.8 (the version I tested
with is 24.8.4.2)
2. Add anything in the file, and check "Save with password" when saving it
3. Open this password protected file using LibreOffice 7.6 or under

Actual Results:
It told me this file is corrupted and can not be opened.

Expected Results:
It should be opened correctly.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Using 24.2 to save with password does not have this problem.

Using 24.8 to save with password CAN BE opened by 24.2, but not 7.6 or under.

The version I test:

Version: 24.8.4.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: bb3cfa12c7b1bf994ecc5649a80400d06cd71002
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.8; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+xcb)
Locale: zh-TW (zh_TW.UTF-8); UI: zh-TW
Calc: threaded
