            Bug ID: 165253
Summary: Enhancement: auto-save open documents instead of
                    aborting a shutdown/restart on Mac
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 3.3.0 release
          Hardware: ARM
                OS: macOS (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
The last macOS update was supposed to install last night, but it couldn't
because LibreOffice was waiting to be told whether to save the open document.
LibreOffice should have an option to auto-save any open documents on a machine
shutdown. Perhaps it could be limited to a program-initiated shutdown rather
than user-initiated. It might hold open the "Save document?" dialog for a
minute first, in case the user is present and doesn't want to save.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Have a LibreOffice document open with unsaved changes.
2.Attempt to install an OS update.
3.

Actual Results:
Install fails because it can't restart the machine. LibreOffice is blocking the
restart with an open "Save document?" dialog.

Expected Results:
If the "auto-save on programmed restart" option is enabled, LibreOffice should
close the dialog after a minute, save the document(s), and exit.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Have only tried this on Mac, but presumably it applies to other environments.
