Number with whitespace after

Google Sheets handles this XLS fine. Displays the expected 1.564088527 value.
I'll attach the test case.

Easy to reproduce
1. Create a cell with a number, followed by a new line (as is common when
copying and pasting numbers from documents). It's correctly formatted as a
number, but Calc gives the #VALUE! error when it is used.

Expected behaviour
Calc should ignore the whitespace after the number, or before.
Should display the 1.564088527
Maybe it could even trim the whitespace, as Google Sheets does.

I appreciate I am not using the latest release. Could someone confirm in latest
version please.
