Bug ID: 165316
Summary: Inline Style Frame Box is Oversized, creates unwanted
extra space between Inline text and Default Text
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.2.0.3 release
Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
When creating an Inline Style the Frame that is created is too large, i.e.,
there is space to the right of the last character in the frame. The end result
is that the sentence looks clunky and unprofessional. Clients who receive
documents I created love the Inline Styles, but they hate the look. See
attached. There is no provision (that I can find) in a menu item for changing
the size of the frame box, and dragging the frame handles to shrink the frame
box does not work for me.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Type a long sentence, or a paragraph.
2.Select a few words at the beginning of the paragraph.
3. Click on Heading 1 in Styles menu; a Floating Frame is created around the
selected text.
Actual Results:
1.Type a long sentence, or a paragraph.
2.Select a few words at the beginning of the paragraph.
3. Click on Heading 1 in Styles menu; a Floating Frame is created around the
selected text.
4. The Frame is too large for the text horizontally, i.e. there is a space, or
spaces, to the right of the paragraph mark in the Frame, thus the Reader sees a
large gap of space between the Instyle text and the Default text that follows.
Expected Results:
Expect the Frame Box to be the same length as the selected text, with no large
space gap between the Inline-style text and the Default style text that
follows.
Reproducible: Always
