          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 66164
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Confusing linguistic options menu with CTS and Asian
                    scripts
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux (All)
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: x86 (IA32)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.0.3.3 release
         Component: Linguistic
           Product: LibreOffice

Hello,

In 4.0.3 version, the menu Options -> Language Settings -> Languages is
confusing:

If you want to typeset Dzongkha (which is a left to right language), you have
to check the option "Show UI Elements for Bi-directional writing", which
enables the "CTL" menu above and thus Dzongkha selection. This is totally
wrong: I don't want to show elements for Bi-directional writings in the UI!

And also, why isn't Dzongkha (and other languages such as Hindi, Khmer, Lao,
etc.) in a new category that would be called 'Indic scripts'? It would be much
more accurate!

Thank you,
--
Elie
