The idea is that most macOS users do not use any customize themes but are just trying to get out of document dark mode (i.e. make it like 24.8 again). This issue, in contrast, hopefully affects a much smaller number of users than tdf#165266 hence my push for tdf#165266 to be included in 25.2.1 even without any of @Sahil's other patches. Is changing only the appearance triggering this bug for anyone? I just tried changing appearance and restarting several times with the 24 February 2025 nighty build and I am not seeing this bug get triggered so I am assuming that the fix for tdf#165266 will not cause this bug to occur.
