I agree with this. Sure, the blank page feature is really useful for authors and printing books, but the opposite - to turn off this feature - was made too hard to achieve for a normal user. In fact, wanting to print out a book format is rarer than just wanting to print out documents with page numbers, without blank pages. Most features like 'only left' or 'only right' also add blank pages. I think there is too much focus on wanting it in book format, which is feelingly rarer than just wanting single paged documents, where left/right doesn't matter. What normal users need, is just a method to turn off the 'I want to become a publishing author, so, I absolutely need a book format'. E.g. when sending a letter to someone, you don't send them a book either, but single pages.
