Bug ID: 165508
Summary: Extensions cannot be installed/enabled on LibO using
binaries from the document foundation
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.2.1.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Extensions
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I am experimenting with binaries distributed by the document foundation, e.g.
pre-releases distributed at https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/
I am finding out that some extensions stop working and cannot
enabled/installed.
For instance, this is the case with APSO and barcode.
Specifically, APSO tells me:
Failed to register package for
vnd.sun.star.expand:$UNO_USER_PACKAGES_CACHE/uno_packages/lu11248410r99m.tmp_/apso.oxt/python/scripts
While barcode says:
Binary URP bridge disposed during call.
These may well be different problems.
I am getting the impression is with extensions using python.
Might have a relation to the fact that to use the binaries distributed from
upstream, one needs to set PYTHONHOME to the path where the python distribution
incorporated in the libreoffice binaries lives.
Any clue?
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install the binaries distributed by the Document Foundation
2. Open libreoffice
3. Try to install the APSO extension
Actual Results:
Extension cannot be registered
Expected Results:
Extension works
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No

[Information automatically included from LibreOffice]

[Information guessed from browser]
OS: Linux (All)
OS is 64bit: yes
