In my understanding:

* Yes regarding the issue being fixed in Qt 6.
* Regarding Qt 5, I'm not sure what's the relevant difference between my setup
and yours. It might be a different set of patches, but could also be something
completely different that somehow plays a role. I don't know whether Debian
also uses KDE's Qt patch collection or not.

No, I have Plasma 6 on Debian testing by now as well (package plasma-desktop
4:6.3.0-1)

I didn't test a non-Debian system, but at least in a GNOME session
(gnome-session  47.0.1-1) on the same laptop, I don't reproduce the issue
either.
