If you set cursor in an existing row and change content, then press ESC the old content will be shown and nothing would be changed. I wouldn't change this behavior. Refresh row should work with ESC. There is no function available at this moment to only refresh one field. If it would be available I would prefer something like CTRL + ESC or SHIFT + ESC. This is a vailid ask for an enhancement.
