This is expected. LibreOffice has its own feature that is called "Full Screen"
but what it really is a "low distraction" layout. So that and native full
screen mode have some similarities but they are different.

For example, when you use the green button and switch a document into native
full screen mode, all of the toolbars, etc. stay visible. But if you select the
View > Full Screen, all of the toolbars, the sidebar, and the status bar are
hidden.

Previous attempts to implement native full screen mode tried to always force
LibreOffice into its internal full screen mode when a window went into native
full screen mode.
