            Bug ID: 165769
Summary: EDITING, UI: More flexibility for Table of Figures and
                    Index of Tables
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 25.2.1.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
A template I had to follow instructed to use tables to list figures and tables
on my document (all of them were captioned). I always use the Table of Contents
to generate those indexes.

This particular template required a format like the following:

Figure 1 – Caption of the figure.........................12
Figure 2 – Caption of the figure.........................15

The dashes had to be aligned to each other, and the captions too.

My first thought was to use tabs on the captions and format the Tabs on Figure
Index 1 style, but the contents on the Table of Figures changed all tabs to
spaces.

Then I looked at the Entries tab while editing the Table of Figures but there
was no way to insert individual elements from the captions (category and
number, number and the caption itself).

In the end, I used a table which content where cross references to each element
from the figures captions, but it was a very manual way to do it. It was
feasible only because the text was finished and no new figure would be added.

So my request is that on Entries tab under the Table of Contents for figures,
tables and other elements one could add the entries as a whole (as is today)
and by elements of the entries (as they exist on the Cross-References tabs from
Insert Fields).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Access Table of Contents by creating a new or editing an existent.
2. Select the Entries tab
3. One should be able to add elements from the entry individually.

Actual Results:
It is possible only to add the total entry (Category #: Text).

Expected Results:
Buttons to add entry's elements, perhaps with a interface similar to the
Heading Info element.

Reproducible: Always
