--- Comment #29 from wbob <[email protected]> --- as others, I can confirm Stéphanes and Michaels reports from 2023 and 2024 to still apply for current 25.2.1.2, described in this answer: https://superuser.com/a/1886081/744005 The issue is a set gtk3 theme value other than a light theme. Especially confusing to users when their gtk4 choice is the opposite, as in gtk3:dark, gtk4:light, LO compiled with gtk3, cannot change LO-gtk3 theme to light. This is a bug (in my case) Debians package (libgtk-3-0?) that sets the gtk3 theme value incongruent with gtk4 at the same time: in debian testing it's Adwaita-dark on a fresh install when gtk4 is on light "Adwaita". (the quick fix is: gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface gtk-theme '') I wonder if this can be somehow handled in libreoffice until gtk3 is phased out and even when compiled against gtk3, trying to read the config of the gtk4 settings and give it precedence. (that is: "org.gnome.desktop.interface color-scheme" is either "prefer-dark" for dark-mode or its absence being the light mode, or "prefer-light" explicitly) looking at the logic where GTK_CHECK_VERSION is invoked if there could be done something with glib schemas and readout both settings: https://git.libreoffice.org/core/+/refs/tags/libreoffice-25.2.2.1/vcl/unx/gtk3/custom-theme.cxx used version: LibreOffice 25.2.1.2 520(Build:2) debian unstable / Wayland / GNOME 48 libgtk 3.24.48-4 + libgtk 4.17.5+ds-3 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
