            Bug ID: 165905
Summary: Mouse Wheel Should Navigate Between Slides in
                    LibreOffice Impress
           Product: Impress Remote
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: UI
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
In LibreOffice Impress, using the mouse wheel does not move to the next or
previous slide. Instead, it scrolls vertically within the current slide, even
when there is nothing more to scroll. This behavior makes navigation less
intuitive, especially for users transitioning from other presentation software
like Microsoft PowerPoint, where the mouse wheel switches slides by default.

It would be helpful to have an option that allows users to configure the mouse
wheel to navigate between slides instead of scrolling within a slide.

Could this be considered as a feature enhancement?

Steps to Reproduce:
Open LibreOffice Impress.

Create or open a presentation with multiple slides.

Ensure you are in Normal View (not Slide Sorter or Slideshow mode).

Use the mouse wheel to try moving to the next slide.

Observe that instead of switching slides, the mouse wheel scrolls vertically
within the current slide, even if there is no more content to scroll.

Actual Results:
mouse wheel scrolls vertically within the current slide instead of moving to
the next or previous slide. Even if there is no additional content to scroll
within the slide, the scrolling action does not transition to the next slide.

Expected Results:
When using the mouse wheel in Normal View, LibreOffice Impress should navigate
to the next slide (scroll down) or previous slide (scroll up) instead of
scrolling within the current slide.

This behavior would align with other presentation software, such as Microsoft
PowerPoint, making slide navigation more intuitive. Ideally, there should also
be an option in the settings to let users choose whether the mouse wheel
scrolls within a slide or moves between slides.

Reproducible: Always
