In the majority of uses cases I've seen, fillable digital forms have transparent background and are often positioned on top of a blank underline indicating to the user that the area is meant to be filled in. Having a background color set to anything other than transparent often impedes the underlying document. Digging into the form Text Box properties for background color I was unable to find an option for transparency. So if and when this feature is added, it should be set to the default. Another potential option is to have a similar solution used for setting the border color. For form text box border there is an option to set the border to be "without frame".
