            Bug ID: 165881
Summary: Mouse click, drag, and release is not working in the
                    GUI
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.5.9.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Usually, when any context menu is clicked to open without releasing the mouse
button ("mouse down"), and the mouse cursor is moved over an action, that
action is being executed upon releasing the mouse button ("mouse up"). This is
the case in other software, as well as in the LO menu bar menu, but not in
graphical elements of other toolbars in LO. E.g. to change the colour of text,
the relevant tool button has to be clicked ("mouse down" or "mouse down & up")
to open the menu, the mouse pointer moved over the colour of choice, and the
mouse button has to be clicked again ("mouse up & down & up" or "mouse down &
up").

I'd argue that it is not only inconvenient that an additional mouse click is
needed to execute actions, but that the absence of an action upon releasing the
mouse button is unexpected behaviour. Additionally, the actions of toolbar
buttons (with an arrow) are already shown on "mouse button down", and not just
after "mouse button up", which is a signal to the user that hovering over an
action and releasing the mouse button should execute the "selected" action.

Upon testing legacy versions of LO, v5.4 works as expected.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Mark text, left-click on the font colour button without releasing the mouse
button.
2. Move the mouse pointer over your colour of choice and release the mouse
button.

Actual Results:
Nothing happens. The colour menu remains opened and the colour under the mouse
pointer was not applied to the marked text.

Expected Results:
The colour under the mouse pointer should be applied to the marked text, and
the menu should close/disappear.

Reproducible: Always
