--- Comment #2 from Rick Stanley <[email protected]> --- On March 13, through an aptitude update, my Libreoffice package was updated from 24.8.5-2 to 25.2.1-3. During that update, some settings related specifically to the 24... version, apparently were not updated or deleted, having an adverse effect on the 25... version. I have not tried to insert a video into an Impress slide for several years. I don't know when this issue might have originally occurred. The size of the video file had no affect on the issue. The long version was about 16 minutes long, and a 20 second clip from the beginning of that video, also did not work. Both hung the entire system, forcing me to hard boot the computer. On April 4th, I did a "aptitude purge libreoffice...", purging all the libreoffice version 25.2.2.2 files, and as a result, I believe all the settings were also removed. From: https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/aptitude/rn01re01.en.html "Purge package: remove it and all its associated configuration and data files." On the same day, I then installed the Libreoffice version 25.2.2.2 package as a new installation. The user interface seemed to be updated, and the same video was successfully inserted into an Impress slide, and the resulting presentation ran correctly. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
