            Bug ID: 166234
           Summary: Disabling UseDocumentSystemFileLocking does not
prevent lock file attempt when opening files on macOS
                    iCloud Drive
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 25.2.2.2 release
          Hardware: ARM
                OS: macOS (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Hi team :).

Summary says it all in this case.
a little more context perhaps. I have an *.ods file in added to an apple note.
I first created it, then drag/dropped in in there.

When trying to open it, it notifies me about a lock file.
After disabling the expert option called UseDocumentSystemFileLocking. it still
want's to create said lock file.

after permitted full drive permissions, the file is can be opened without an
issue :). (work around)

So the lock function does want to disable, at least, not in this scenario.

happy to create a video or something to aid, or any other way, please let me
know.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice > Preferences > Advanced > Expert Configuration
2. Set UseDocumentSystemFileLocking to false
3. Save a .ods or .odt file on your local drive
4. Drag and drop file into an apple notes....note
4. Try to open it

Actual Results:
It still tries to create a lock file and fails unless the app is granted Full
Disk Access in macOS System Settings.

Expected Results:
LibreOffice should skip the lock mechanism and open the file normally.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes
