            Bug ID: 166271
Summary: More "caret" (insertion i-beam cursor) styles
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 25.2.2.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
In LO Writer, is it possible to add more "clearer" visual styles for the caret
-- the blinking i-beam at the insertion point, just like in Konsole, Terminal
or VS Code.

E.g. styles "Block" "Box" "Underline" "Thick Underline" etc.

This would be highly appreciated by those who want to save sight by sitting far
back from the screen. Also, programmers would love it, too. The current i-beam
looks too thin and seems cannot be thickened from system-wise till KDE 6,
Linux.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type something in LO Writer.
2. Enlarge the font while editing, and zoom to "Optimal View".
3. Step back 2 to 5 meters away from the screen (per person).
4. Look at the blinking insertion caret.

Actual Results:
It's hardly visible, as that i-beam is too thin.

Expected Results:
XXXL, or mega.

Reproducible: Always
