            Bug ID: 166374
Summary: LibreOffice comments style formatting is unstable and
                    cumbersome
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 25.2.2.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
LibreOffice comments often do not use the "comment" style as a default.
Sometimes no style is applied, sometimes it's the "comment" style but without
the rules of that style actually being applied, sometimes it's the body text
style, especially if I copy and paste. Even when I set the comment to the
"comment" style, I often also have to click the eraser button to remove
overrides.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a comment box.
2. Write a comment.
3. Go through steps laid out in description.

Actual Results:
The problem laid out in the description.

Expected Results:
"Comment" style applied.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Developers should resolve this problem by making the comments always use Arial
10 or 12 pt and only allow for bold and italics. Styles are not necessary for
comments because they're just notes and they only have one possible function,
namely as comments (as opposed to block quotes, lists, etc.). IIRC Word does
not use styles in comment boxes. Moreover, interoperability is key, so Arial is
a better choice than Liberation. If this is not possible, then it would be
great if at least only the "comment" style is allowed in comment boxes.
