The problem remains un-changed. Perhaps this is not surprising, because it is a brand-new installation (my first ever installation of LO, although I have used OpenOffice previously, and normally use MS office, all on this machine). Since it seems a very obvious and fundamental bug, I would guess that it is most likely new, or surely there would have been many previous reports.
