As I mention in the bug report: "changing specific themes within LibreOffice
itself can sometimes mitigate or resolve the problem, suggesting an interaction
issue within LibreOffice's theme handling"

Specifically, from Menu>Tools>Options>LibreOffice>Appearance, adding the theme
"Light Application Color" resolves the problem. See attachment. Reverting to
the default LO's theme "Automatic" brings the problem back. This suggests that
the font color within the formula editor can be manipulated by a setting.
Unfortunately this setting is not available to the user. That's why I also
propose "It would be beneficial to have a user-configurable option to
explicitly set the font color within the formula editor to avoid such conflicts
and improve accessibility".
