Thank you for reporting the bug. I can confirm that the bug is present in the
versions of LibreOffice listed below.

As originally described: creating, resizing, and saving a document has two
different behaviors. If the document is re-opened directly (by double-clicking
in Finder, for example) the resized window is maintained. However, if it's
reopened by launching LibreOffice and selecting the same document from "Recent
Documents", the window sizes are not maintained.
