--- Comment #3 from Davide <[email protected]> --- While I prepare the sample file, I add some more info. I will provide an ODG that triggers the same issue, however the original PDF was created with Acrobat Distiller 23.0 (Windows), its properties also say "PScript5.dll Version 5.2.2". What I am noticing in this PDF is that elements like a square with a dashed border are actually saved as tens of small, aligned solid lines, which explains the huge element count. Textures on surfaces are rendered by overlapping tens of oblique and horizontal lines, some colored some white. This is probably how PDF drawing works (vectors?), and Draw does an exceptional work in reading it, much better than other famous software, still I find it crazy. Another comment that I have: I have the feeling that the issue is non-linear, meaning that depending on the region I select I can wait 3, 5 or 10 seconds before Draw becomes responsive again, but after a certain threshold it just seems to keep going forever (minutes, then I kill the process). But as I can't estimate the number of tiny elements I'm trying to select, my feeling might be wrong. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
