As shown in https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/ensure-paragraph-is-surrounded-by-preceding-and-following-paragraphs/123644/9 screenshot, Word settings are: - widow/orphan control enabled (to be able to modulate number of lines at top and bottom) - keep with next enabled - keep lines together disabled (equivalent to "Allow to split paragraph" enabled) The layout is as expected, i.e. part of the paragraph is set at bottom of page, end of paragraph at top of next page attached to next paragraph. The new DOCX sample when opened in Writer does not show the same layout. It exhibits the "monolithic" behaviour I criticised, i.e. "Keep with next" implies "Allow to split" disabled. So, if the main argument is "Writer should behave the same as Word", this is an example of divergence. I also add that, from a logical point of view, present Writer behaviour is faulty as I explained it in comment 3; some authors may require what I described, even if the configuration is tricky. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
