If I get back to Automatic and turn off the 'Enable Application theming' (reset/restart or clear profile), check 'Enable Application theming' enabled and then apply an Appearance theme, I can customize specific UI elements. But some continue to take their color from the os/DE provided color and follow that color sense (light or dark)--and the 'Button text color' are very often not being themed.
