ZIP-File with screenshots and an example document
I am using LibreOffice Calc to print lables for different kinds since many
years.
One of the updates in the last couple of months messed with the page
orientation. I am using professional ZEBRA lable printers (1x ZT230, 1x ZT231,
1x ZT411 and 1x ZC350).
I can't find a setting which prints the lables in the correct orientation.
I attached a example file and a couple of screenshots walking through the
process.
01.) I set the lable width and height in the page properties (in my case the
lables are 51mm wide and 25mm high. LibreOffice now sets the orientation
automatically to landscape ... which might be the root cause of the issue I
have later down the process.
02.) I try to print the lables the printer driver is set correctly to the right
lable size and how they are oriented in the printer.
03.) In the print dialog I can't set a combination of orientation and paper
size which prints the lable correctly nor am I able to change the paper size in
the dialog by hand ...
No matter whether I choose landscape or portrait ... it always messes up the
print ... and even worse, also changing the settings in the printer driver to
landscape, which would be a complete different lable format for the printer.
My current workaround is, to create the lables in LibreOffice and load the file
in Exel ... there I can print perfectly fine and correct ... But WHY???? ...
I need to dig out an older version which worked properly ... but I have to
figure out where the change came into play. :( ...
Sorry, the screenshots are in German language ... but I described the details
as best as I could in this comment.
The simplest solution for me would be that I can set the page size correctly
Width=51mm, height=25mm and orientation is protrait nevertheless, even when
wider as tall. That's the way most lable printers work.
