You are indeed right!

Nevertheless, this is a “hidden” change that should at least be (more) clearly
pointed out to users in the change notifications.

I didn't notice this either and would probably *never* have found out without
the bug report and your hint. Why? Because it has worked for years in exactly
the usual way as it no longer does now without added manual configuration.
Therefore, perhaps the “Date acceptance pattern” field could also be
automatically filled with D.M.Y if a relevant country setting (Albania,
Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany,
Greece, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia,
Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, and Turkey) is recognized as system standard
or is set manually. Or just basically always add D.M.Y., as one pattern to much
probably causes fewer problems than one too few ,-)

(Anyone who edits datetime cells using a macro, for example, and perhaps
doesn't even notice the data type changes immediately can create a lot of
unnecessary trouble...)

Thanx for clarification and all the best!
