I have downloaded a different driver from Canon Singapore IJPrinterDriver Ver 5.20 for Linux and that works fine when connected directly with a USB cable. If I try to register the printer with wi-fi it does not find it. But after using the printer the driver automatically updates to Ver 5.30 which is the latest found if you select from database.
