            Bug ID: 168129
Summary: Folder chosen to store the PDF file doesn't match the
                    folder of the LibreOffice file
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 25.8.0.4 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
I use the PDF generation per icon a lot.
I am used to store the PDF in the same folder as the original document is
stored.
This was broken in LibreOffice 25.2.2 and has been fixed in 25.2.5. That helped
a lot!!!!!!!!
Now in LibreOffice 25.8.0 it came back in another behavior.
Sometimes the folder chosen by LibreOffice is a folder I used in the past
although I have stored the LibreOffice document already or I have opened an
existing file from the explorer.

Please revert the behavior to the state in LibreOffice 25.2.5. That will help a
lot!!!!!!!!

Please revert the change.

I use this feature in Writer.

The very bad side of the bug is, that I have to force me to double check the
folder given. I don't want to think about the target folder on each and every
PDF file generation.
I want to trust, that the chosen folder by LibreOffice is the folder I picked
the LibreOffice file from!!!!!

Steps to Reproduce:
Hard to say.

Actual Results:
20% of the PDF file generations are not stored in the folder where the writer
file lives.

Expected Results:
100% of the PDF file generations shall be stored in the folder where the writer
file lives, if not chosen differently.
Revert implementation to the former implementation in 25.2.5.

Reproducible: Sometimes
