It might be that the release build hasn't been built with a signed libpng.dyld,
or that it isn't signed with the correct authorisations.

There's an xattr command line instruction you might try to see if any
improvement. I'm not in front of my Mac, so don't remember what it is right
now.

Another thought I've had is that I've probably installed a libpng version of
some kind via Homebrew and maybe this is being called on my system.
