            Bug ID: 168357
           Summary: Improve visibility of tooltips
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 25.2.5.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Hello, I am using enlarged mouse cursors on Win11 because I use big screen and
when I hover my mouse over tabs and buttons, the descriptive tooltips are
hidden under the cursor. It is very annoying but I don't want to always change
cursors to default size only to read the info tooltips. This happens across
whole Libre Office.

Workaround solution: If you could make the tooltips appear above the cursor
instead of below, whole the issue would be solved. That way any size of cursor
will not be an issue as the tooltip info would always be above the arrow's tip.

Proper solution: Other solution would be of course more proper but more
difficult and that would be to create some adaptive script that would adapt to
the size of cursor even when we use extra large cursors. Apparently Libre is
not currently made to fit all the possible settings in Windows 11.

Important technical info: I wanted to attach a screenshot but unfortunately
these Windows are made the way that when you take a screenshot, the screenshot
shows the default size of the cursor and not the actual size that I see. This
might be the technical detail that you need to know to understand why the issue
is happening. Just like the enlarged cursor is not on screenshots, your script
might too be adapting only to the default size as the enlargement is obviously
programmed now as something special.
