Description:
The rulers (for margins) that used to show automatically in Writer have gone.
Instructions in online help to get the rulers back and move them with the mouse
refer to menu items that do not exist. There is no "view-ruler" either under
Libre Office or under Writer. There is an area that refers to rulers under
Libre Office Writer-View" but it only allows for changing the units on the
rulers--it does not make the rulers appear.

To show or hide rulers, choose View - Ruler. To show the vertical ruler, choose
Tools - Options - LibreOffice Writer - View, and then select Vertical ruler in
the Ruler area.
