Bug ID: 168820
Summary: Commands' cleanup workaround
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.8.1.1 release
Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I would like to propose a simplistic workaround to the potentially tedious
cleanup process of internal documentation regarding toolbar commands
Currently some Toolbar icons appear twice on the list of Commands - for example
in Calc there are two "Sort" entries:
A] uno.DataSort - which works
B] uno.OrderCrit - which seems to do nothing
So if a user like me reports a non-working / dead Command [like B], they the
developers could tag it as such - which would make it be hidden in future
releases by default. But there would also be some sort of a switch [a check-box
or button] that would reveal all commands / icons i.e. present the full list
This approach would prevent accidental breakage of the programs, while ensuring
that users see only the commands that actually function [like A], plus leaving
the legacy elements for superusers and testers
