Description:
When I initiated install of LibreOffice v24.2.5 on my Win11 laptop, McAfee
notified me that it had quarantined updater.exe. In Windows Programs &
Features, Libre Office Updater is listed but, there is an error when I click on
it. The error is: "An error occurred while trying to uninstall Libre Office
Updater. It may have already been uninstalled." I don't know the impact of this
is. On the surface it seems low. What I don't know is what would happen to user
docs if one uninstalls an old version of LibreOffice. If nothing, then the
impact is none.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run installer for v24.2.5.
2. McAfee notifies the user that updater.exe has been quarantined, during the
install process.
3. Let the install proceed to completion.
4. Open Control Panel and click on Uninstall a program.
5. Double-click on Libre Office Updater.
Actual Results:
The following error message pops up: "An error occurred while trying to
uninstall Libre Office Updater. It may have already been uninstalled."
Expected Results:
The user is prompted about uninstalling the app. The Guide doesn't tell me
anything about this app so I can't see how it is used. As a result I can't say
anything about the operation of the app.
