For step 2, it would be libreoffice --backtrace For step 4, as advised, you need to have a second terminal open and after the freeze give: pkill -15 soffice.bin Ubuntus from version 22.04 onward use a service called debuginfod, which means that the debug information is fetched over the network on demand and there is no need to worry about installing any extra packages.
