Bug ID: 169078
Summary: Status bar formulas for imported CVS file only works
in column A.
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.8.2.2 release
Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: macOS (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
After importing a CVS file, the formulas in the status bar, such as count or
sum, only responded to values in column A. Clicking on a cell or column
anywhere other than column A did not get a response in the formulas in the
status bar. I then found that this behavior also applied to formulas entered
into a cell that drew values from those same cells.
If I copy a value from column A and paste it anywhere else, the formulas will
respond to that value. If I copy a value from any other cell and paste it into
column A, the formulas will not respond.
It appears that the wizard will fill the cells to the right of column A with
values, however the values are not “seen” by formulas. Oddly, they are seen by
the sort routine.
Formatting the cells has no effect as even the count formula sees zero values,
even though values are displayed. It acts as if it will not give a format
attribute to a value that it does not see. Saving and reopening the sheet had
no effect.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Import a CVS file using default settings
2.Enable formulas in the status bar.
3.Test values in column A vs any other column and view formula’s response.
Actual Results:
Formulas only responded to values in column A
Expected Results:
Formulas should respond to values in all cells.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
