Bug ID: 169220
Summary: Calc: crash while dragging a field selection to
auto-fill cells
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.8.2.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: macOS (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
Just ran into a crash while dragging a field selection to auto-fill cells. In
this specific case it was a data "2025-01" which dragging down should fill
"2025-01, 2025-02" etc
LibreOffice fanished during the dragging event. Sadly not 100% reproducible as
the operation was successful in the same document earlier.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. enter 2025-01 into cell
2. select cell and drag down bottom right corner to auto-fill cells below
Actual Results:
crash
There is some corruption ongoing, even after closing LO and trying to re-open
the file in question.
Opening shows info message:
"Either another instance of LibreOffice is accessing your personal settings or
your personal settings are locked.
Simultaneous access can lead to inconsistencies in your personal settings.
Before continuing, you should make sure user 'username' closes LibreOffice on
host 'hostname'. Do you really want to continue?"
Oddly looking at Activity Monitor, LibreOffice is not showing.
Crash log (1 year):
https://bin.disroot.org/?624c2bde3bcb1ddd#DVdcthvntvhx9FWQQBJ6ogiETdR6LPrV5AMwvdb8KK2W
Termination Reason: Namespace SIGNAL, Code 6 Abort trap: 6
Terminating Process: soffice [22806]
Application Specific Information:
*** __CFTypeCollectionRelease() called with NULL; likely a collection has been
corrupted ***
abort() called
Expected Results:
no crash
Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
LO 25.8.2.2
macOS 15.7.1
Can't open LO due to the unclear error message. Unsure how to proceed, would be
great to not corrupt an important document I am working on. Probably a restart
will resolve this, but I need to wait for another process to finish before that
is possible.
