Yes, they are available, but they are not easily found and how to apply them is
not well explained. There should something visible on the first sight how to
check downloaded files and where to obtain the necessary data.

I added a thorough explanation to the headline which first appeared without any
explanation. But now my explanation does not appear here and I have no copy of
it on my computer. Actually, I don't feel like carefully putting this more than
one hour work down on paper again (even though I remember the four points you
need very precisely: SHA256SUMS, SHA256SUMS.gpg, Downloading your signing key
and its Fingerprint, comparing the fingerprint to the downloaded public key,
and applying it all together).
