Currently, your connector is not connected to anything. Thus a routing does not exist and therefore you have no points to manipulate the routing. If you manipulate the endpoints of a connector and it comes near to a gluepoint, it will be caught. As you do not have set gluepoints on the image, only the default gluepoints exist. Those are at the middle of the edge of the image. I think this is rather a request for help than a bug report.
