Are you sure, a connector is the correct object for your purpose?

Currently, your connector is not connected to anything. Thus a routing does not
exist and therefore you have no points to manipulate the routing.

If you manipulate the endpoints of a connector and it comes near to a
gluepoint, it will be caught. As you do not have set gluepoints on the image,
only the default gluepoints exist. Those are at the middle of the edge of the
image.

I think this is rather a request for help than a bug report. Please use the
channels mentioned in https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/community-support/
to get assistance in working with connectors.
