--- Comment #7 from Dominique Meeùs <[email protected]> --- Running Ubuntu 25.10, I did first test the LibreOffice Writer of the distribution, 25.8.1.1 (Ubuntu package 4:25.8.1_rc1-0ubuntu1). (1) Example with due non breaking spaces. « This is a quotation, supposedly in French. » The triple click selection ends with the non breaking space (included in the selection), missing the closing guillemet only. (2) Example with ordinary spaces. « This is a quotation, supposedly in French. » The triple click selection ends at the full stop, missing both space and guillemet. In both (1) and (2), triple click on the next sentence selects beginning with the closing guillemet (» The triple…) (3) Example without spaces. «This is a quotation, supposedly in French.» The triple click selection includes the guillemet. The triple click on the next sentence makes also a correct selection. Thus the problem in not simply about the closing French guillemet, but about space (breaking or not breaking) before closing guillemet. (Though the selection is slightly different between (1) and (2).) No problem with guillemet without space. I did then install the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/, 25.8.2.2. No change from the above. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
