The font color has the value 'automatic' for to react on the background on
which the text is written. Something similar does not exist for the border
color. A border color is always a concrete color.
Thus the requested automatic change could only be something that is offered to
the user while styling the table.

When changing the user interface, it is always necessary to ask whether the
development effort is worthwhile.
This includes questions such as:
Is it really an improvement? User interfaces that can do a lot are more
complex.
Can the same effect be achieved relatively easily in another way?
How many users are affected?

In this case, I don't see any real improvement. Setting the border color is
easy. Users who frequently need a specific table design can create a suitable
table template.

I would therefore classify this request as “Wontfix”.
