--- Comment #7 from [email protected] --- I have run additional tests, and I can confirm that the crash does not occur on Windows (although the table formatting is lost when pasted). However, on Linux and macOS the crash happens consistently. There is also an important detail about how to reproduce the issue: If you paste onto an existing text cursor, Impress inserts plain text and does not crash. But if you paste on an empty area of the slide (i.e., not inside a text box), Impress tries to paste the full table object, and in this case the application crashes immediately. This difference in behavior seems relevant, as the crash only occurs when pasting the table as an object rather than as plain text.
